How many times have you entered a quilt shop and felt like you had just set down at the wrong lunch table in middle school? You know the feeling? You are a new kid in school, you don’t know anyone, and you make the social blunder of sitting at the table with the “in crowd”. They all look at you like you smell bad or something. Well I can assure you that when you walk in the door of All About Quilting, you will not be treated like that. I strive to have a quilt shop that is charming, welcoming and gives you the feeling like you are visiting the home of a friend. No matter if you just love quilts and have never sewn anything before, or if you have been quilting for years, every skill level is welcome in my shop. One of my two favorite things is teaching something new and also learning something new as it relates to quilting. What? The quilt shop owner doesn’t know everything?? Shocker!! No, I do not know everything as it relates to the quilting world. And I am not afraid to admit that. I do fancy myself to be very knowledgeable, but there is always new stuff to learn. So in an effort to have people get to know me a bit better, and so I can get to know other quilters of all levels, I have started this blog. I am new to this whole blog business, and I hope I don’t completely stink at it. After all, I wouldn’t want the “cool kids” giving me “the look”.
